Power Tools OEM & Sourcing FAQ

Answers to common questions from importers, distributors, and private-label brand owners sourcing power tools from China. For product-specific questions, visit the relevant category page. For OEM program details, visit our OEM & Private Label Service page.

A: As programs scale, we support buyers through range expansion, specification updates, new market compliance requirements, and increased order volumes. Specifications from earlier order cycles are documented and maintained — adding new models or updating existing ones does not require starting the qualification process from scratch. For buyers expanding into new markets, compliance scope for the new destination is reviewed and confirmed before production is adjusted. Long-term program development is central to how we work — most of our clients grow their range with us over multiple years, and our processes are structured to support that kind of cooperation.

A: Yes. Technical documentation available for OEM programs includes exploded parts diagrams, wiring schematics, spare parts lists, and service manuals where applicable. The scope of technical documentation provided is confirmed at the program setup stage. Buyers managing independent service networks, authorized repair centers, or distributor after-sales programs typically require this documentation as part of their program setup. We recommend raising technical documentation requirements at the inquiry stage so the appropriate materials can be prepared as part of the first order deliverables.

A: Yes. Spare parts supply can be arranged on a per-program basis. For multi-cycle importer programs, spare parts are typically planned alongside main order cycles and confirmed as part of the cooperation agreement. Common spare parts include motors, carbon brushes, PCBs, switches, cord assemblies, and battery components depending on the product category. Buyers managing after-sales networks or repair programs should raise spare parts requirements at the first order stage so availability and lead times can be confirmed as part of the program structure.

A: If defective units are identified after delivery, we request documentation of the defects — photos, failure descriptions, and quantity affected — and cross-reference against the inspection records and test documentation from that production batch. Where the defect falls within our QC responsibility, we work with the buyer on an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement units, credit toward the next order, or other arrangements depending on the scale and nature of the issue. We do not require buyers to absorb losses from production defects that were within our control to prevent.

A: Warranty terms are confirmed at the program setup stage and vary depending on product category, configuration, and program scope. Standard warranty coverage addresses manufacturing defects that fall within our production responsibility. We maintain complete batch traceability records — including incoming QC, in-process inspection, and pre-shipment documentation — to support warranty claims and root cause analysis. Buyers building retail or distribution programs with defined warranty commitments to their end customers should raise warranty requirements early so terms can be agreed before the first order is placed.

A: After-sales support for OEM programs covers quality claims, replacement parts, technical documentation, and reorder coordination. If a quality issue arises after delivery, we review batch records and inspection documentation and work with the buyer toward an appropriate resolution. For multi-cycle programs, after-sales support is structured as part of the ongoing cooperation agreement — not handled on a case-by-case basis each time. Buyers managing warranty programs or distributor networks are encouraged to discuss after-sales requirements at the program setup stage so the appropriate support structure can be confirmed in advance.

A: Customs clearance at the destination port is the responsibility of the buyer or their appointed freight forwarder. We provide all necessary export documentation to support the clearance process. For buyers unfamiliar with import procedures in their market, we can recommend freight forwarders with experience in customs clearance for power tool imports. HS codes for our product categories are provided on request — we recommend confirming the correct classification with your customs broker before import documentation is finalized.

A: Yes. FBA-ready packaging — including correct labeling, barcode placement, carton dimensions, and weight requirements — is available as part of our OEM packaging service. We prepare packaging to Amazon FBA requirements for buyers operating private-label programs on Amazon US, EU, and UK marketplaces. Packaging specifications are confirmed at the OEM project stage. Buyers who are new to FBA requirements or are launching a new ASIN are encouraged to share their FBA packaging guidelines at the inquiry stage so we can confirm feasibility before sampling begins.

A: Yes. These are our primary export markets and we have extensive experience with the documentation, compliance, and logistics requirements for each. EU shipments require CE documentation and country of origin labeling. US shipments require compliance with relevant safety standards where applicable. UK shipments require UKCA marking for applicable product categories. Australian shipments follow relevant AS/NZS standards for electrical safety. We are familiar with the specific requirements for each market and structure export documentation accordingly.

A: Standard export documentation includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin. For programs with specific compliance requirements, we also provide CE declarations of conformity, RoHS and REACH compliance declarations, and test reports where applicable. Buyers importing into markets with additional documentation requirements should confirm their requirements at the program setup stage so all necessary documents can be prepared before shipment.
