OEM & Private Label Power Tools Manufacturer in China
FirstRate manufactures power tools for importers, distributors, and brand owners building private-label programs for international markets. We operate our own production facility in China and manage tooling, assembly, QC, and compliance preparation in-house.
Most programs begin before specifications are finalized — we help buyers confirm model suitability, compliance scope, and configuration feasibility before sampling costs are committed.

OEM Programs by Product Platform
Each platform has its own compliance requirements, application profile, and typical buyer profile. Use this section to identify which program fits your channel and launch logic.
Cordless Tools
— Battery-Powered Platform (3.6V to 21V)
Designed for portability, longer runtime, and ergonomic handling. Suitable for field work, on-site construction, and consumer retail programs in the DIY and professional segments.
Best suited for:
- Buyers launching a multi-SKU cordless line under a single brand identity
- Programs targeting DIY retail or professional trade channels where portability is a key selling point

Electric Power Tools — Corded Platform
Stable, continuous output for heavy-duty and industrial applications. Built for factory use, repair workshops, and professional trades. Preferred where runtime is not a constraint and performance consistency is the primary requirement.
Best suited for:
- Buyers sourcing for professional or industrial channels where corded tools remain the standard
- Programs requiring high-load, continuous-use performance specifications
- Markets where CE or UL compliance is a baseline requirement — compliance pathway confirmed per model and destination market
Garden & Outdoor Tools — Landscaping Platform
Battery-powered and ergonomically optimized for outdoor conditions. Suited to landscaping professionals, garden equipment distributors, and seasonal retail programs.
Best suited for:
- Buyers targeting garden centers, seasonal hardware promotions, or landscaping trade buyers
- Programs with strong Q2/Q3 seasonality requiring advance production scheduling
- Distributors looking to extend a cordless platform into the outdoor category
Accessories & Consumables
Accessory kits and consumables available to bundle with OEM tool programs — drill bits, saw blades, sanding discs, nozzle kits, batteries, chargers, and tool storage. Accessory configuration is confirmed at the OEM project stage based on target market and application profile.
What You Can Customize
Most OEM programs begin from our existing, market-validated product structures. This reduces development risk while maintaining flexibility for branding, market-specific requirements, and engineering adjustments. ODM development — where we engineer to a buyer’s specification — is available on qualified programs.

Brand-Facing Customization
Identity and packaging elements that differentiate your product in the market.
Housing color: Pantone reference accepted; standard and custom finishes available
Logo & branding: molded, pad-printed, laser, or label integration
Accessory & nozzle kits: standard and custom configurations per application or market
Packaging: retail box, blister pack, tool bag, bulk carton — including FBA-ready configurations
Market-Facing Customization
Regulatory and logistical configuration for your destination market.
Power cord & plug type: EU (C/F), US/CA (A/B), UK (G), AU (I), Brazil (N); cord length adjustable
User manual & labeling: multilingual manuals and regulatory labels prepared to destination market requirements
Certification alignment: configuration adjusted to meet CE, GS, or UL test requirements before sampling begins

Engineering-Level Customization
Performance and component specification for programs with defined technical requirements.
Motor and component specification: component-level sourcing aligned to target service life, market tier, or performance requirement
Output and airflow calibration: for selected product categories such as heat guns and blowers — adjusted to match application-specific requirements
Temperature control tolerance: tighter set-point accuracy for programs requiring repeatable output within defined bands (applicable to relevant product categories)
Why FirstRate Is Operationally Reliable
Our manufacturing capability, QC process, and compliance preparation are all managed in-house. This is the operational structure that supports repeat orders without repeated buyer-side re-validation.

Manufacturing
In-house copper motor workshop for corded tool programs
Injection molding: plastic housing and component production with internal tooling control
Dedicated assembly and functional testing lines per product category
On-site QC laboratory: measurement, electrical safety, and performance testing equipment
15+ years OEM experience | 100+ staff | 8,500+ units daily capacity
Quality Control
Incoming material inspection: critical components checked against specification before assembly begins. Off-spec materials rejected at this stage.
Assembly-level functional testing carried out according to product category and QC plan, including electrical safety, performance verification, and burn-in where applicable.
Pre-shipment AQL inspection: final batch inspection before export. Inspection documentation available for qualified programs. Third-party inspection accepted.

Compliance & Certifications
Compliance scope is confirmed per model and per destination market — before production is finalized, not after goods have shipped.
CE — EU / EEA markets. Scope confirmed before tooling and sampling.
GS — German safety mark; relevant for DE, AT, CH programs targeting hardware retail.
UL — North American pathway discussed at project start.
RoHS / REACH — material compliance documentation available for programs with regulatory requirements.
Not all certifications apply to all product configurations. Applicable scope is confirmed at program evaluation.
How an OEM Program Works
Most buyers come to us with a target market and a product concept — not a finalized specification. The process below is how most programs move from initial inquiry to first shipment.
01

Initial Inquiry & Requirements
Share your target market, application requirements, expected volume, and compliance needs. We assess model suitability and flag feasibility issues at this stage — before sampling costs are committed.
02

Model Selection & Configuration
We recommend suitable base models and confirm customization scope: housing, logo, accessories, plug type, packaging, and any engineering-level adjustments. NDA signed before technical details are shared, if required.
03

Sample Production & Review
Samples produced — typically 7–10 days for programs based on existing structures, longer for programs requiring new tooling. Buyers review performance, ergonomics, and branding before approving for production.
04

Order Confirmation & Production
30% deposit confirms the order. Production runs 45–60 days from deposit and final specification sign-off. QC applied at incoming material, assembly, and pre-shipment stages throughout.
05

Pre-Shipment Inspection & Export
Final AQL inspection completed before shipment. Inspection documentation available. Balance payment (70%) due before release. We coordinate with your freight forwarder or can recommend established partners for major export routes.

OEM & Sourcing FAQ
This section covers questions specific to our OEM service and cooperation process. For product-specific questions, visit the relevant category page.
You do not need a finalized specification to begin. The most useful information at the inquiry stage is: target market and destination country, product category or application, expected annual volume or order quantity, any known compliance requirements (e.g., CE, UL, GS), and your preferred timeline for sampling and first shipment. If you have reference products, branding materials, or technical notes, you are welcome to share those as well — but they are not required to receive an initial assessment.
Quality issues are handled on a case-by-case basis, beginning with documentation. We ask buyers to provide photos, unit counts, and a description of the fault. Where an issue is confirmed as a production defect, we work with the buyer to determine the appropriate resolution — which may include replacement units, credit against a future order, or other arrangements depending on the nature and scale of the problem. Our QC process is designed to surface issues before shipment, but if something does reach the buyer, we engage directly and do not deflect. Buyers who have purchased through a third-party agent should note that resolution logistics may involve additional steps.
Yes. Third-party factory audits are accepted. Buyer visits can be arranged with advance notice. For buyers requiring a formal audit as part of supplier qualification, we recommend scheduling this before the first order is placed.
Most importers start with a trial run of 100–300 pcs (a few thousand USD), then expand. Standard MOQ is 500 units for stable pricing.
